Special Event: Winning Streak

The weekly entry form is divided into two sections (see example below). The Winning Streak Special Event controls are located at the bottom of each fixture.

Each round you select only ONE team by clicking on the teams radio button in the Winning Streak column. Each team has a number of points associated with it for a win, and a number of points associated with it for a loss. For example, Essendon may have +9 Points for a win, and -7 Points for a loss. If your winning streak team wins its match, the win points are added to your running total. However if your team loses or draws its match, the lose points are subtracted from your running total.

Each tipster starts with zero points, and after each round the win/lose points are added/subtracted from your total, and the winner of the event is the tipster with the most points at the end of round 24.

How the Win/Lose points are calculated

Win points = the number of games that the opposing team has won + the number of games that this team has lost.
Lose points = the number of games that this team has won + the number of games that the opposing team has lost.

For example, Kangaroos vs Melbourne.
Kangaroos have currently won 1 and lost 5 games, and Melbourne have currently won 3 and lost 2 games.
Therefore, the Kangaroos' Win points are +8 (i.e. 3 + 5), and the Lose points are -3 (i.e. 1 + 2).
Melbourne's Win points are +3 (i.e. 1 + 2), and Lose points are -8 (i.e. 3 + 5).

The Win/Lose points for the upcomming round are calculated after completion of the previous round, and will be displayed on the entry form. The Win/Lose points for the rest of the rounds cannot be calculated in advance, and so no points will be displayed.
